On Monday, Tom Daley and Noah Williams delivered six exceptional dives in the men’s 10m synchro diving final, earning them a silver medal.
Daley and Williams were edged out of the gold medal by China’s Lian Junjie and Hao Yang, who dominated from the start, finishing with 490.35 points. Daley and Williams scored 463.44 points, while Canada’s Ryan Wiens and Nathan Zsombor-Murray took home the bronze.
Competing in his fifth Olympic Games, Daley returned after a two-year hiatus following his gold medal win at the 2021 Tokyo Games. His silver in Paris completes his Olympic medal set, adding to his three bronzes and one gold.
Daley expressed his joy to the BBC, stating, “Diving in front of my son Robbie, who asked me to return, makes this so special. It completes the set. I now have one of every color.”
When asked about competing in Los Angeles 2028, Daley said, “I don’t know. Right now, I want to enjoy today and see what the future holds.”
